Kanon Finale: Balance - Viewing Profile

At the ripe age of thirteen, seventh grade, I started to become familiar with the internet world, as I was never social on the internet. It all started from Graal Online. At first, when I first started the game, it was so cool because it was like an old school version of Zelda, but you can do so many different things including sparring other people of the world. So, being a Metal Gear Solid fan, I started my first alias as Snake. Then I also started playing .hack//INFECTION and noticed that my friend had a cooler username on both that game and on Graal Online, which was Edge. I wanted to be unique, and at that time, sprite comics was my thing and Megaman was the popular thing amongst me and my friends. So I became X-Guy on Graal Online, because X-Man sounded too studly, and stupid.

For a while, I thought it was cool, until I realized how cheesy it sounded. Also, it was only until I got annoyed by the amount of people asking me if I took the name from X-Men. So I decided to try to become even more original by taking out the one object that would help me: the dictionary. As I was flipping from the first page meaning that I was on the letter A, I decided to get bored so I started to quickly flip through the pages until I saw a word that stuck out to me more than anything. I was excited to use it in Graal, so I decided to make my new display name look “cool” so I changed the caps here and there to make it look like this. BaLaNcE. You can tell I didn't get very far.

That was only the beginning of the legend of Balance. As time began to pass, I began to realize how much of my life applies to the ideals and principles of balance. As I began to think about the past, present and future, I finally learned that it was not just a cool word in the dictionary which have me this name, it was fate. For a while though, I had used the alias of darkbalance because it was still a common alias that the people of the internet likes to use. Eventually, I got to become Balance in a few places here and there, because I had despised it when I saw users always used the word dark as a prefix to make themselves seem cooler, because it sounds cool. Like always, I never liked being a part of a society that I thought were unintelligent. So I reverted back to my true self in Anime Forum into Balance. I don’t know why I had never registered as Balance before, although I do believe that there was an account named Balance, but it had no activity, so it probably got deleted so now it's mine.

Balance, as we know it has always been a sign of harmonization. It doesn’t mean that there is an evil force, nor a holy force fighting against its opposites, but rather having both qualities working together as one principle and thus the symbol of the yin and yang applies. I have found that a lot of events in my life have caused me to become who I am now. If it wasn’t for the death of my sister about thirteen years ago, then I probably wouldn’t be the person that I am right now, otherwise life might have been looked upon entirely differently now. There was a dark force that had caused a beautiful child to lose her life, but because of that, the light within her brother began to loosen itself a little but earlier than it normally should have. Because these two forces are in harmonization, one cannot make the argument that one can exist without the other. We can’t have nice people if we don’t have bad people. It is that factor which determines people as good or not. There are neutral forces, but that’s an entirely different book. I feel that I have these forces within me, because there are a lot of bad sides of myself in which I have learned to keep inside locked tight. There have been times where some slipped and caused something that I do not enjoy recalling. That is my personal belief, and self theory. Don’t tell me I am wrong, because this only applies to me.

Around the year 2007, my friend had introduced me to numerology, the study of numbers. Apparently, the numbers zero through ten means a certain thing. Now the magic number is two, which means balance. Do you remember those good old elementary days when you would add up the numbers of your name or something like that? That is also applied to this concept. So A = 1 and B = 2 and etc. I decided to fool around with it and started doing that to different words and names and became amused with it. Then I did balance, and the cool thing was that it ended up to mean balance. Of course. I will show you how it works soon. So I did my name which came up to 83. 8+3=11. Since it is above ten, we repeat the process. 1+1=2. 2 = balance. That’s right, my legal first name meant balance. It is not a coincidence, it is fate. Like balance, there is no coincidence, just fate.

It repeats the same melody and crescendos gradually, peacefully, and beautifully. It would be nice if life changed like that. Slowly but surely, while being seemingly unchanged from day to day.

WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE?!

A fly came into the record studio one day.
The fly flew around the room,
And as he flew toward the window...
he bumped into the window with a bump.
The fly tried to go outside, buzzing, struggling,

Surely there was nothing was in front of him,
